Week 29 - A new reality is emerging
Welcome to this meditation.
To begin this meditation well, I take time to become still.
I breathe in and out calmly. And if I wish, I close my eyes as I exhale.
The silence that arises within me is a space where an encounter can take place between me and the Good God.

In the new reality of the Resurrection, Jesus is still present.
What I Desire
I desire that this new reality may also become visible in my own life.
The music we are about to listen to is a prayer without words.
Can this also become my prayer?

Thomas, one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said, “First I want to see His hands, with the holes made by the nails. I want to touch them with my fingers. I want to place my hand in the wound in His side. Otherwise I will not believe.”
Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came in. He stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”
Then He turned to Thomas and said, “Look, here are My hands; reach out your finger. Reach out your hand and place it in My side. No longer be unbelieving, but believe.”
Then Thomas said, “My Lord and my God.”

For Thomas, a new reality emerged when he saw the risen Jesus. Can I once again enter into a moment in my own life when, through Jesus, a new reality emerged for me?

What helps me remain in this new reality, and what draws me away from it?

What would I like to discuss with Jesus regarding my longing for this new reality?

Can the music become the expression of my conversation with Jesus?
