Week 32 - The spirit sends
Theme:
I choose to live my life based on the intimate encounter with Jesus. He gives me His Holy Spirit. In Him, with Him and through Him we are one.
What I may wish to ask:
That I may have the courage to live my life from God’s Holy Spirit,
And can work with God for His kingdom here on Earth.
I take time to become still in this chapel, this house of God. I take several calm breaths in and out. With each breath out I let my go of my every day worries. With each breath in I place myself before God who is gazing at me with love.

I have revealed your name to those whom you gave me from the world. They were yours and you gave them to me,
Which people in my life do I recognise as people God has given me? I think about each of these people trusting that they are from God.

They have kept your word. Now they know that all you have given me comes from you, for the words that you gave to me I have given to them, and they have indeed accepted them and truly recognised that I came from you, and have believed that it was you who sent me.
In His encounters with people it became obvious that Jesus came from God. Which encounters with people come to mind as being encounters where I have experienced something of God between me and the other person? I try to allow these encounters to appear as vividly as possible to my mind’s eye.

I am asking on their behalf; I ask not on behalf of the world but on behalf of those you have given me, because they belong to you. All I have is yours and all you have is mine, and in them I am glorified. I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep those you have given me true to your name, so that they may be one as we are one.
Jesus prays for the people who have been given to Him because they belong to God. Which concrete situation, relationship or person requires my loving attention? I bring this situation or person to God in my prayers.
